Going for the Gold: Diplo x Tiesto x Notorious B.I.G. “C’mon Back to Cali”

I woke up prematurely today- about 6:30 am, to find out there was a new track out by Diplo and Tiesto. Needless to say, it is an absolute banger. What I’m wondering, was this a strategic move by Diplo to make himself a household name? I fancy myself a fan of marketing, thus a fan of this move on the part of Diplo.
About the track: Signature Tiesto “big room” sounds- signature Diplo ticks and tocks. The track sounds as if they did it in an afternoon- a fairly standard formula with no surprises for the most part. I felt it was missing a little something- so I reworked the track with Biggie’s classic “Goin’ Back to Cali.” Peep it…
